Jesse Jackson, the veteran US civil rights leader, Baptist minister and two-time presidential candidate, has died at the age of 84, his family has announced. In a statement by the family, he was described him as a “servant leader – not only to their family, but to the oppressed, the voiceless, and the overlooked.”
