Afrika Freedom Month Test: Name two Afrikan countries that celebrated Freedom or Independence Day yesterday with South Africa? 

 

1.    USA- DR CONGO-RWANDA

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has overseen the signing by Congo and Rwanda of a pledge to work toward a peace deal that would ease U.S. access to critical minerals in resource-rich eastern Congo, bringing U.S. influence to bear in a minerals trade that has helped fuel conflict that has killed millions for three decades.

 

3.Gabon- Libreville

Gabon’s Constitutional Court confirmed Friday Transitional President Brice Oligui Nguema as the winner of the presidential election held earlier this month.

 

4.    Namibia- Windhoek

Namibia will offer free university education starting in 2026

New Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah announced that her government will introduce free higher education at state universities and technical colleges starting next year.
