Traffic on the N3 towards Nottingham Road in the KwaZulu-Natal midlands is backed up for kilometers as motorists continue to ignore pleas from traffic authorities to stay off the roads. Snowfall in many parts of KwaZulu-Natal has caused wet and slippery roads and dangerous driving conditions. Founder of the Snow Report, Rob Ansell - a community based group of snow enthusiasts from across South Africa - is sitting in a traffic jam in the area. Ansell is urging anyone considering finding snow, to turn around and go back home.
