Mass shootings have become common in Cape Town. The most recent mass shooting in Cape Town was on Saturday, 5 July, when three people were gunned down inside a shack in the Covid informal settlement in Mfuleni. To address this various Police executives are today hosting Community Police Forums from accross the Western Cape. Affected areas include various areas of Mitchells Plain, Gugulethu, Khayelitsha among others that has claimed scores of lives.
