Residents and faith leaders from Westbury and surrounding areas will march to provincial and local government chambers this Friday over rampant gang violence. Led by Gauteng MPL Bishop Dalton Adams, the convoy will hand a memorandum to the Premier and City of Johannesburg Mayor demanding a Local State of Disaster be declared under the Disaster Management Act. This comes as escalating gang warfare, public shootings, and civilian casualties leave Wards 69 and 82 under siege. We spoke to Bishop Dalton Adams.
