The University of Cape Town has decided, as a precautionary measure, to move some of its academic classes to online platforms. This follows disruptive protests which started on Monday over debt fees and student housing. UCT Vice Chancellor, Professor Mosa Moshabela says the institution has taken every measure to support as many eligible students as possible but warns against unlawful protests which may infringe on staff and other student's right to have access to education.
