The Film and Publication Board (FPB) has welcomed the recent arrest of a South African suspect that is allegedly linked to an international digital sextortion ring which tragically resulted in the suicide of a Swiss teenager. According to the FPB , this arrest underscores both the borderless nature of digital crimes and the devastating real-world consequences of technology-facilitated crimes. The Board is now issuing a warning to the public on the creation and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
