A joint national inquiry into South Africa's criminal justice response to GBVF begins today in Johannesburg. It focus on reporting, victim support, investigations and pre-trial processes. Led by the Commission for Gender Equality, SAHRC and CRL Rights Commission, the inquiry will run until 2 October. The Chapter 9 institutions say the inquiry stems from the persistent scourge of violence against women across the country.  Bongiwe Zwane spoke to SAHRC Chair Chris Nissen
