Red Meat Industry Services has implemented Phase 1 of its response to the ongoing Foot-and-Mouth-Disease outbreak. This as the country has been battling to contain the outbreaks of foot and mouth disease for several years. The foot-and-mouth disease is common among cattle, sheep and goats and is characterised by fever and blister-like sores on the tongue and lips.
