The Joshlin Smith kidnapping and human trafficking trial has resumed in the the Western Cape High Court, sitting in Saldhana Bay. Proceedings were adjourned yesterday after the state's key witness, Lorentia Lombaard fell ill. Lombaard was being cross examined by Rinesh Sivnarain, the lawyer for Joshlin's mother, Kelly Smith, when she said that she was not feeling well. Sivnarain is the last of the defence lawyers of the three accused to have his turn with Lombaard on the stand. The trial was set down until this Friday, but is set to continue for the next two weeks.
