The South African government has strongly condemned the suspected attempt to smuggle prescription medicines, including antiretrovirals, out of the country. This comes after a shipment of the medicines was found in the wreckage of a bus that crashed in Limpopo on Sunday. Over 40 people died in the tragic accident.
