Former Judges' Secretary, Zintle Nkqayi has raised questions about an alleged incident in November 2021, when Judges' Secretary, Andiswa Mengo alleges that Eastern Cape Judge President, Selby Mbenenge, solicited a sexual act from her. Nkqayi's evidence alleges that the top Judge was occupied on the afternoon inquestion. She is testifying a landmark probe into a complaint against Mbenenge, in which Mengo alleges that she was sexually harassed in in-person and electronic interactions with the judge between June 2021 and November 2022.
