The Minister of Social Development, Nokuzola Tolashe, has committed to a thorough review of its entire grant infrastructure, focusing on identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities, ensuring the security of beneficiary data and safeguarding public resources. The review follows a recent investigation , which found several medium vulnerabilities in the department's SRD grant system. The probe was actioned by Parliament, after Stellenbosch University students unveiled what they have termed mass grant and identity fraud with government's R350 social relief grant.
