 US unveils ambitious reconstruction plans for Gaza 

Ukraine, the United States, and Russia have discussed the creation of buffer zones and mechanisms to monitor them — that's according to Russian sources — as trilateral talks on ending the conflict in Ukraine continue in Abu Dhabi. This is the first time the three sides are meeting in such a format, following several rounds of separate talks earlier this week.  The discussions are seen as a modest but noteworthy step, held on the instructions of the three presidents and after months of shuttle diplomacy. Dasha Chernyshova has more from Moscow.

Gauteng Premier, Panyaza Lesufi says the province will avail its best resources to tackle challenges faced by the residents of Sporong, in Randfontein. Lesufi has assured the community that they will be moved from the local community hall within a week. This as hundreds of residents from the informal settlement were forced to flee their homes to seek refuge at the hall after allegedly suffering violence and intimidation at the hands of illegal miners since last year.
