In response to the announcement, the National General Secretary of the Independent Patriots for Change says it can not rule out the possibility of approaching the electoral court in seeking intervention. The review follows a recent investigation , which found several medium vulnerabilities in the department's SRD grant system. The probe was actioned by Parliament, after Stellenbosch University students unveiled what they have termed mass grant and identity fraud with government's R350 social relief grant.
