The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) has confirmed that the country's soldiers who were critically injured in eastern DRC are back home and receiving urgent medical attention. The soldiers arrived back home last night following a repatriation process. It is not clear how many other injured soldiers are remaining in the region but they are said to coming home in  the next few days. Last month, 14 South African soldiers were killed in a clashes between the M23 rebels and the Congolese military in the town of Goma. Political Analyst Professor, Ntsikelelo Breakfast says he hopes the interventions announced by President Ramaphosa in his SONA speech to fix the water crisis and the state of local government will bear fruit. In dealing with the current water crisis faced by a number of municipalities across the country, Ramaphosa announced action plans. The establishment of a national water crisis committee and the litigation against municipalities for contravening the provisions of the National Water Act, primarily the unlawful discharges of pollution were amongst some of the top priorities.
