The Madlanga Commission has heard allegations that suspended deputy Crime Intelligence head Major General Feroz Khan used EFF leader Julius Malema to advance his own agenda in Parliament. Evidence leader Advocate Matthew Chaskalson presented WhatsApp messages containing parliamentary questions that were to be asked by Malema to former Inspector-General of Intelligence, Isaac Dintwe. The Commission heard that the questions, allegedly drafted by Khan, were sent through his close associate, Mohammed "Mo" Sayed, before being passed on to Malema. Chaskalson told the Commission the questions were intended to trap Dintwe into making false statements, which Khan allegedly planned to use to orchestrate his removal.
