Last week's cancellation of the Cape Town Marathon, has brought into sharp focus, the need for event organisers to be up to date with their cancellation insurance policies. Thousands of runners were left stranded last weekend when heavy winds forced the marathon's cancellation, to the disappointment of many spectators and service providers.
