Three boys from Jan Kempdorp Landbou High School in the Northern Cape have been given non-custodial sentences. All three appeared in the Jan Kempdorp Magistrate Court. They faced charges of sexual assault and assault, after they bound their fellow male learner on a bed, smeared him with an unknown substance and violated him.Two boys were sentenced to four years imprisonment with a five year suspension, while the third accused was sentenced to six years imprisonment, suspended for five years.
