Gender based violence remains high across Northern Cape's John Taolo Gaetsewe District. This is according to a local NGO operating at Seoding village. Social Development Deputy Minister, Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu opened a shelter for abused women at the village near Kuruman. The shelter which opened this week is expected to operate around the clock and will offer accommodation to women until they are back on their feet.
