Johannesburg Water says load shedding will continue to affect its ability to deliver uninterrupted water supply to residents in the city. Eskom has implemented stage two until ten o'clock on Friday night. This is due to the breakdown of generating units at the Majuba and Arnot power stations. The Joburg Theatre says, it is proud and thrilled to finally welcome the cast and crew of "Siddhartha the Musical" to South Africa. The group from the Phillippines will be performing their world renowned production for the first time in Africa. The play tells the story of Prince Siddhartha who was born into a wealthy family however went on a soul searching journey to seek a more simple life, filled with wisdom, compassion and enlightenment. The play will be performed on the 11th and 12th of May at the Joburg Theatre. The Hlanganisa Community Fund, an organisation seeking to strengthen social accountability and promote human rights says, very little attention has been paid to the issues affecting women. The organisation has conducted a gender analysis of election manifestos of five political parties namely, the ANC, DA, IFP, FFP and the EFF.  The study reveal that issues such as gender based violence, job creation, access to healthcare, the energy crisis are not addressed in the context of it's greater impact on women.  Prabashini Moodley reports...

Election manifestos inadequately addressing issues effecting women

The advancement of digital technology is having a major, and often detrimental impact on the mental health of internet users. That's according to Clinical Psychologist and author of "A Time to Heal," Dr Rani Samuel. Her comments follow recent reports of a teenager from the UK being gang raped in a virtual reality game. According to reports, the teenager - was using a Virtual Reality headset in an immersive game when her avatar was allegedly assaulted by other avatars representing several men. She is said to have been left distraught following the incident. Prabashini Moodley reports.....
