Conservationists and geneticists from the Endangered Wildlife Trust and the University of Pretoria have discovered a mole previously thought to be extinct. The blind mole known as De Winston's golden mole, was last seen 87 years ago. The blind mole has an iridescent coat sheen and can "swim" through sand.
