Locating the remains of slain award winning photo journalist Anton Hammerl is key to instituting an investigation into his death. That's according to the international legal team for Penny Sukhraj-Hammerl, Anton's wife. In 2001, Hammerl travelled from his home in London to Libya to cover the Arab Springs and was killed. After ten years of no action, no answers and no accountability, Sukhraj-Hammerl has asked the Special Procedures of the UN Human Rights Council to take action. The UN Security Council held a virtual side event, to discuss the case of Anton Hammerl and continuing impunity for crimes against journalists in Libya. Prabashini Moodley reports...

The Hlanganisa Community Fund, an organisation seeking to strengthen social accountability and promote human rights says, very little attention has been paid to the issues affecting women. Election manifestos inadequately addressing issues effecting women

The advancement of digital technology is having a major, and often detrimental impact on the mental health of internet users. That's according to Clinical Psychologist and author of "A Time to Heal," Dr Rani Samuel. Her comments follow recent reports of a teenager from the UK being gang raped in a virtual reality game. According to reports, the teenager - was using a Virtual Reality headset in an immersive game when her avatar was allegedly assaulted by other avatars representing several men. She is said to have been left distraught following the incident. Prabashini Moodley reports.....

The class of 2023, has been advised that university is not the only post matric route that one can follow and not gaining access to a prestigious tertiary institution is not all doom and gloom. Last week, Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga announced that the class of 2023 achieved an 82-point nine percent pass rate. 40.9 percent of students achieved a bachelor's pass, 27.2 percent achieved a diploma pass, and 14.8 percent achieved a higher certificate pass. This means, while some will gain entry to University, many have not met the requirements. Career counselor Telishia Thinnasagaren-Chellan says, the possibilities who those leaving school are endless as Prabashini Moodley reports....
