View descriptionShare

Still in the month of July, popularly known as the Mandela month, a month a set aside to acknowledge the selflessness the former state’s man gave to our country. Celebrating this month and giving back to the selflessness of our former state’s man is most commonly by encouraging people to also be willing to help and be selfless when rendering helping services to their nearest people of their choice.

Well it is commonly known that heroes don’t wear capes, or at least not all of them. Sometimes the most needed help comes from the strangest strangers who go an extra mile helping willingly without expecting anything in return.

Our hero of the day today is Mr Kagiso Setuki from the village of Bapong in the North West village. The 28 years who works as a covid-19 screener at his nearest school catering for disabled learners saw a need to start an initiative of collecting school shoes for the learners as most of them are from impoverished backgrounds, so he started the initiate by buying 28 new pairs of school shoes himself and has now embarked on encouraging the community on topping up what he has already brought to the table.
