Athletics South Africa (ASA) has launched an event where primary school athletes will compete for national colours during the ASA National Primary Schools Championships to be held in Pietermaritzburg in a fortnight. Speaking at a press conference at Athletics House in Johannesburg on Thursday, ASA President Aleck Skhosana says they have taken a leaf out of leading countries by encouraging early focus of athletics at grassroots level.
