Dr Mitloehner is a Professor in the Department of Animal Science at the University of California, Davis. He's in the country at the moment thanks to Beef + Lamb NZ to
take part in lectures and explain the science behind methane’s impact on climate change and the work by the dairy industry in California to reduce its emissions.
And DairyNZ says region-specific support is being offered to cyclone-affected farmers, who are responding to a range of different issues on farms across the North Island - Sarah Speight, DairyNZ General Manager for Farm Performance joins us to tell us more.
