Many homes in South East Queensland are without power and NBN, with crews working to restore services.

Head of NBN Local in Queensland, Kylie Lindsay, told Peter Psaltis, "At the moment, we know that we've got approximately 188,000 outages, but most of those are related to power."

"We've got some teams who are ready to go into the impacted areas, but as we all know, it's still raining out there."

"They are still talking about strong wind gusts for, you know, for a little while longer, so I think we'll probably be out there hopefully tomorrow to look at those sort of things," Ms Lindsay continued.
