Unfit Trump Judicial Nod Cries Over Damning Letter From The Bar Association Saying He Is Unqualified

Federal appeals court nominee Lawrence J.C. VanDyke broke down in tears during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday, reacting to a scathing letter against his confirmation by the American Bar Association. VanDyke also broke down in tears over assertions he harbors animus toward LGBT people. The Bar Association conducted 60 interviews and concluded that VanDyke was "not qualified" for the judicial branch. In the letter, ABA Chair William C. Hubbard said, "Mr. VanDyke's accomplishments are offset by the assessments of interviewees that Mr. VanDyke is arrogant, lazy, an ideologue, and lacking in knowledge of the day-to-day practice including procedural rules.There was a theme that the nominee lacks humility, has an entitlement temperament, does not have an open mind, and does not always have a commitment to being candid and truthful.
