In Ohio, a viral video of a Toledo police officer violently arresting a 15-year-old Black girl for jaywalking has sparked concerns among community leaders, as the officer involved is still on duty.

The African American Mayors Association has elected a new president, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott. He will join us to discuss his plans for the organization and for his city.

This is our second town hall discussing Virginia's upcoming referendum vote on April 21, which could allow the state's Democrat-led Legislature to temporarily redraw its congressional districts ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. The proposed map has the potential to help Democrats flip four seats in the U.S. House of Representatives this November.

We have an exciting show lined up. Tonight, we're going to talk about mobilizing young voters with the youngest elected official ever to serve on the Surry County, Virginia, Board of Supervisors. 

We'll have conversations with Virginia State Senator Louise Lucas and State Representative Mamie Locke.
