After four days and 15 rounds of voting, Republican Congressman Kevin McCarthy finally secured enough votes to become speaker of the House.  Louisiana Representative Troy Carter will join us tonight to explain how McCarthy was able to win the seat.

We'll replay Representative Hakeem Jeffries' first speech as House Minority Leader, where he promises to collaborate with the Republicans during this session on pertinent issues.

The Atlanta-area special grand jury investigating has completed its probe of whether former President Donald Trump and his allies violated the law in their efforts to overturn the 2020 election.  We'll discuss where that information is headed next.
