Today, singer, actor, producer, and activist Harry Belafonte died of congestive heart failure at his Manhattan home at age 96. 

For the next two hours, we will celebrate his life with several people he influenced and talk about the man who sparked the calypso craze in the U.S. and created new trails for African American performers.

This is our second town hall discussing Virginia's upcoming referendum vote on April 21, which could allow the state's Democrat-led Legislature to temporarily redraw its congressional districts ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. The proposed map has the potential to help Democrats flip four seats in the U.S. House of Representatives this November.

We have an exciting show lined up. Tonight, we're going to talk about mobilizing young voters with the youngest elected official ever to serve on the Surry County, Virginia, Board of Supervisors. 

We'll have conversations with Virginia State Senator Louise Lucas and State Representative Mamie Locke.
