The Descendants of slaves are fighting an attempt to use eminent domain to carve a spur through one of Georgia's largest Black‑owned farms.

The Trump administration continues to show its blatant racism against African-Americans. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth invited a white Christian nationalist pastor who's made offensive racist remarks regarding slavery to pray at the Pentagon.

He helped lead North Carolina, and now, former North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper wants to flip a Republican seat in the U.S. Senate. I had the opportunity to speak with him, and we'll play that next.

And, we'll continue honoring the life and legacy of Reverend Jesse Jackson with his son Jonathan, Activist Dr. Cornel West, and Reverend Michael Pfleger.

A year-long national boycott of Target over its rollbacks on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives has ended. Until Freedom's Tamika Mallory will join us to discuss the success of the boycott.

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality has approved plans for 41 gas turbines at the xAI facility in Southaven. Tennessee State Representative Justin Pearson will explain why this decision has drawn criticism from local activists and advocacy groups, who argue that the approval process ignored public concerns and violated environmental regulations.

Mississippi's Incumbent Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith will face Democratic candidate Scott Colom, who won out over two primary opponents, in November.  We'll talk to Colom about his victory. 

And Georgia's special election to replace former GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene in Georgia's 14th Congressional District is headed to an April runoff. 

In Florida, State House Republicans have passed an anti-DEI bill that includes criminal civil penalties for elected officials.

A Mississippi civil rights group documented 70 modern-day lynchings in the South from 2000 to 2025, though historians say the last official lynching was in 1981. The founder of JULIAN, the non-profit behind the report, is here to discuss these findings.

The economic slowdown is affecting the black unemployment rate alarmingly. Morgan Harper will be here to explain the February job numbers. 

Women- and minority-owned businesses were removed from the Texas Historically Underutilized Business Program in December, and are suing the Comptroller, Kelly Hancock, who argued he was ending a DEI program.
