Bad News with Happy Music/Daily Check-Ins

Another beautiful, late-October day in our area with a high near 70° and plenty of sunshine! Got the bike out this morning!

In the news this morning, a massive recall on meat, Richard Riehl passed away, the charges against Timothy Busfield get dropped, Donnie Wahlberg almost died in a plane crash, a boat capsizes in California and some of the survivors get attacked by sharks before being rescued, and another roller coaster gets shut down.

In sports, the 49ers beat the Commanders last night to wrap up Week 6 in the NFL, a look at the Week 7 schedule, Terry Mclaurin suffers a serious injury during the game last night, the Rays are moving on to the World Series to face the Brewers, a look at last night's WNBA Finals game, the NBA regular season kicks off this afternoon, Jalen Hurts is out for the season, Davante Adams gets injured, and Josh Jacobs will be back on the practice field for the Packers this week.

We talked about what's on TV & streaming today/tonight and what's new on New Release Tuesday. Plus, Jon Stewart signs an extension to continue hosting the Daily Show, and a look at the possible economic impact of the release of GTA 6.

Cool story about a couple of teen brothers who helped save a grandmother and her two grandkids that were drowning in a retention pond. And a guy in Mississippi saved a 4 year-old kid from a burning home.

Had some Halloween stuff this morning, including stressing about finding a costume, and an HOA that doesn't want it's residents to give out full-sized candy bars.

Elsewhere in sports, CJ Gardner-Johnson gets suspended for a game by the NFL, the Colts fired their GM, select Marcus Cinemas in Wisconsin are going to be showing a couple of Brewer movies today & tomorrow, and some lucky fans are going to try & use their golden tickets for the World Series.

We looked at our Week 6 Pigskin Picks and we also got on the phone with Grant Bilse of the Wisco Sports Show.

And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a guy who got his 10th DUI, a woman who claims she found a cow tooth in her tacos, a price war between two gas stations in Georgia, a massage parlor gets popped for happy endings, a #FloridaWoman who did some unthinkable stuff with a kitten, and a #FloridaMom who showed up drunk to pick her kid up from school.
