Bad News with Happy Music

Happy Hump Day, yo!

Cooling off considerably the next few days with some rain likely tomorrow.

Kicked off the show with a new "Who'd You Rather?" - Stuck in the Andes like that soccer team in the 70's...or stuck in the Chilean mine???

In the news this morning, the latest on the death at Six Flags in Georgia, an update on the Ilhan Omar investigation, President Trump has another rally interrupted by a protestor, Pope Leo has lung cancer, and the situation between Kelly Clarkson & that shop in Brooklyn.

In sports, the Tampa Bay Rays tied up the ALCS last night, the Brew Crew & Dodgers resume their series tonight in L.A., a look at the rest of the MLB schedule for the week, the NFL kicks off Week 6 tomorrow night in Denver, Alaric Jackson & Montez Sweat get suspended by the league...while Dre Greenlaw's appeal of his suspension does NOT get overturned.

We talked about what's on TV & streaming today/tonight. Plus, a list of horror movies that aren't that scary...and apparently, Guitar Center is going to allow people to play "Stairway to Heaven" in their stores again.

Great story about an app that lets you adopt trees and help keep them healthy & growing, a police K9 officer helped to locate & rescue a missing boy in Maryland, and a nonprofit in Kansas City that's planting orchards in vacant lots around the country.

Hump Day means "One Gotta Go Wednesday"...and since today is also "National Dessert Day", we had to choose which one of these very popular desserts had to go forever: Ice cream. Cake. Pie. Or Cookies?????

Elsewhere in sports, the Atlanta Dream are moving their home games for the upcoming WNBA Finals, Mark Sanchez reaches a settlement with the truck driver he attacked last year, Deion Sanders talks about the Colorado playbook that was found in a hotel room a few weeks ago, and a high school football coach in Oregon gets FIRED for running up the score.

Tyler from upstairs joined us in the studio again this morning to help Jean make her Week 6 Pigskin Picks.

And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a shooting at an IHop, a teen in Guatemala who woke up in a coffin(NOT DEAD YET!), a woman in NH who went to an urgent care clinic and got left inside after they closed for the day, a Delta passenger who decided to steal some of the airport vehicles rather than get on his plane, and a church deacon in Georgia who dumped four kids off at a busy intersection...four miles away from home...because they were misbehaving on the bus.
