Week 4 Pigskin Picks with Tyler

Bad News with Happy Music/Daily Check-Ins

What a loaded show today. Just wish I felt better.

This post-Oktoberfest cold or whatever it is sucks.

In the news this morning, Six Flags is closing a ride that's been giving people brain damage, a nationwide recall on blood pressure meds, a toddler had a loaded gun in their backpack at daycare, the latest on the gang rape at Cornell University, a fitness influencer is going viral for harassing a sea turtle, a former American Idol contestant is found guilty of murdering his wife, the Flock CEO is having a really rough time, and the winner of Fat Bear Week!

In sports, the results of yesterday's MLB playoff action along with a look at today's schedule, the WNBA playoffs continued last night, Week 4 in the NFL kicks off tomorrow night, the Giants cut Odell Beckham, a former Auburn staffer is accused of stealing sensitive documents, and a crazy stat about The Miz.

We talked about what's on TV & streaming today/tonight. A "Game of Thrones" movie is coming, Daughtry announces an upcoming tour with a stop at the Pablo Center, and a trailer for the Matthew Perry documentary gets released.

Check out this McDonald's employee who paid it forward & got rewarded for his generosity...and scientists are looking at using spent coffee grounds as insulation sometime in the future. Also, does Angelina Jolie have worse handwriting than Jean?

It's "One Gotta Go Wednesday" and today's edition was swear words! The F-word, S**T, P***Y, or the C-word?? Which one are you getting rid of?

And speaking of cursing, have you heard about NASCAR's Swear Jar contest??? You could win some serious coin. Also in the world of NASCAR, Brad Keselowski is out at Roush Fenway after this season, Denny Hamlin reacts to the Corey Heim "fight", and the league hands down some punishment for the attack on Heim.

Tyler from upstairs once again joined us just after 8am to "help" Jean make her Week 4 NFL Pigskin Picks, and in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a bunch of seized cocaine that went missing from a courtroom in Fiji, a guy in Virginia who was doing 72 in a 25 because he didn't want to miss breakfast at McDonald's, a #FloridaMan who was recently seen walking his pet raccoon on a leash, a woman who changed her mind about bungee-jumping had it changed back by one of the staffers, and a mom who abandoned her four kids at home so she could go on a cruise.

What a loaded show today. Just wish I felt better.
