Bad News with Happy Music

Still NOT feeling the best. Definitely much better than last week, but this cough keeps hanging around.

Big week coming up with our firepit getting finished(hopefully) on Thursday and the CMN Radiothon happening at Gundersen on Thursday & Friday

In the news today, a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper passed away over the weekend, a recall on frozen berries sold at Walmart & Trader Joes, an update on the cheesesteak assault from last week, the prison chief in Tennessee resigns after they botched the Christa Pike execution, a deadly shooting at a park in Baltimore, and the "Jane Doe" from Cornell is allegedly getting death threats.

In sports, a recap of the NFL games yesterday, the MLB Wild Card games this weekend, the WNBA playoffs, and the college football action. Plus, Tony Romo is officially out at CBS, and a Chiefs player had a nasty ankle injury!

We talked about what's on TV & streaming today/tonight. Plus, an auction that includes a bunch of Pee Wee Herman stuff from Paul Reubens' private collection!

Had a new "Karen of the Day" who was REALLY sick of people in her park.

On the flipside of that, we had a great story about a 12 year-old in Arizona who had a VERY successful diaper drive, and a wedding that almost got ruined by some severe weather until a bunch of strangers showed up to make it a wonderful occasion!

Elsewhere in sports, a coach got fired during a game, the 49er's owner is punished by the NFL, this Saturday's UFC event set some records, and

Halloween is right around the corner and according to a new survey, people are sick of the "sexy" costumes.

And in today's "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a #FloridaMan who was selling illegal drugs on Facebook marketplace, another #FloridaMan who was filming a TikTok video while getting a haircut in the middle of a busy road that got seriously injured by a truck, a woman in Alaska who kept her dead husband's body in a chest freezer for years, a woman in Pennsylvania who stole a donation box for a pet shelter, and a woman in Vegas who got injured by a mechanical penis ride.
