Bad News with Happy Music/Daily Check-Ins

No Jean this morning as she's at the Festgrounds helping with the Senior Breakfast!

And speaking of Oktoberfest, the new Royal Family stopped by this morning to say hello as we get ready for a wild weekend of beer, brats, music, family & fun!

In the news this morning, a recall on raw meat sold nationwide, Harvey Weinstein gets sentenced to 15 years for sexual assault, RIP to Peter Byrne of "Naked Eyes", Jonathan Taylor-Thomas gets arrested for assaulting a police officer, a lesbian bar in Massachusetts lifts their mask mandate and people are freaking out, and hundreds of lawsuits allege that GLP-1's are causing vision loss!

In sports, the Brewers beat the Phillies yesterday, Week 3 in the NFL kicks off tonight with the Packers & Falcons, the Badgers play #13 Penn State on Saturday, the Cubs & Red Sox series this weekend gets shifted around because of the weather in New England, Jaxson Dart is getting surgery and is likely done for the entire regular season, and the NY Islanders have a grilled cheese sammich on the menu this year that's got some very interesting ingredients.

Talked about what's on TV & streaming today & tomorrow. And speaking of streaming, Disney+ is once again raising it's rates. Yay! Plus, a new documentary about the making of "Goodfellas" is on the way.

A heroic dog that helped to rescue dozens of people after the earthquakes in Venezuela earlier this year is getting a statue! And a new wildlife overpass in Colorado is saving hundreds of animals from vehicle collisions since it was installed.

Does your garage need some refreshing? Natty Light has just the thing for you - A garage sponsorship complete with free beer money, a jumbotron, signage and a whole lot more!

Elsewhere in sports, Darrell Waltrip is stepping away from public appearances after he was diagnosed with having cognitive issues that impact his personality, an update on the ASU hockey player that's been in a coma since collapsing during a summer workout, and the SF Giants were trying to celebrate in the locker room when a naked man appeared out of nowhere!

A new survey on Reddit asked people to list things that are overrated, Office Cora joined the show just after 8am to talk about what she's up to in the 715 this weekend, and I also asked her which "One Gotta Go Wednesday" items she's getting rid of forever. Oktoberfest beer, brats, music, or the outfits. (She went with brats!)

And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a woman who drank toilet water in an effort to fool a breathalyzer, an A.I. Onlyfans account made a ridiculous amount of money, a mom in Michigan who left her 3 & 4 year olds home alone & surrounded by trash...and they were found by cops eating spoiled raw meat, a guy who really loves feet, and a couple of mechanics who got fired after they used a racial slur on a customer's oil change reminder sticker.
