It's Cary's Little, Cory's Littlely made possible by Construction Pathways. There's never been a better time for a career in construction search construction pathways.

So just before we get to Simon, who's got to complain about Corey's the leg, we should say the idea Corey was, you just love footy growing up when you were young, you had so much fun, and you want to bring that fun back to kids sport.

Yeah, because obviously doing some little clinics over the last six or eight months, I just sort of notice some kids, like they don't seem to be overly enthusa or excited or really want to be there, And I just I love asking them why, you know, they felt like that, and it was just more they just didn't know they didn't understand the basics, like they have a said that.

But what I gather is.

They don't understand the basics of rugby league and they've fallen out of love with it because it's it's still too hard and I'm like, it's not hard it's really not a hard game, and it shouldn't be hard, like not at that age. So I just want to try and bring both the joy and the and the and the passion for kids at that age, and hopefully his parents can see it and just show them that it's it's a fun game. It's an easy game to play.

So eleven twelve year olds, we're playing on the fifteenth of June, boys and girls and all kinds of skill levels.

Yeah, that's right, and you can register right now. Kiss ninety seven three dot com dot a you if you or your kid wants to play on that game.

It's gonna be a great, great day too.

Where a backup game and anyway fun aside, we need to talk to Simon because Simon is not happy with the way it's being put together.

Simon out of bracken Ridge today.

Simon, Hey, guys, what a hero we have this morning?

And Tory, Yeah, what's what's your complain? Simon's wrong to this.

Little league thing? And I actually don't know why. No, it's called you out yet, like coming on talking about how you're giving back and what a privilege it is, Like, Hello, what about all the people that don't have parents to fill out forms. You know what, I don't have a parent doing this for me. I don't have someone who would lift a finger to fill out a form would include me. I didn't come from this privileged background like you, and you've got the form online and you're doing everyone a favor by doing Corey's Little League. You come on, it's not the Corey Oat Show.

Yeah, it kind of is, but tell me what it is, Like, what do you mean who are you talking about?

Yeah, these kids that are being left out? Like what about kids that don't have parents or don't have parents who care. They can't go and fill out the form. They can't be part of this. You're not doing anything for the people that really need this. You're looking for the privileged kids who've got good schools, they've got the support system around them. This is a great PRS done for you, Corey coming onto the show and saying, oh, I want to give back and you know, ticking those boxes. But like, mate, you're missing out in a whole set to when I was growing up, I would not have had this my mom, my dad, they wouldn't have filled out of form, they wouldn't have done this for me and You're expecting parents to show up, and the kids that needed most don't have access to join. You don't have access to be there.

You just said your mum and dad wouldn't fill the form out.

No, they wouldn't it. So you've got a whole bunch of kids. That's because I didn't have a great upbringing with parents that cared about me, Like you know this cocoon that you lived in.

So are you talking foster kids? Like what are you talking kids that are falling through the system.

Or just kids the kids. It could be foster kids who are passionate about sport. It could be kids that just have parents that don't care or aren't aware of this. You know, the kids aren't aware. The parents won't do this for them because they either from broken homes or they are completely distracted with other things in their lives. You've got to go in and find a way of accessing the kids that don't know about this or donate the support system, whether it's foster kids, orphanages, going to schools and finding out are their kids here that need that list stuff that perhaps don't have this.

I'm only doing it from what I've sayen. So have you seen that are going through.

That all the time. School, Well, this is not about me, methogiges A. You're turning it around.

Okay, no, no, no, I will. I will take on board that there are obviously there would be some kids that don't feel that we they have an opportunity to do this. I'm guessing through school counselors, through teachers.

Through anyone anyone can, anybody, anybody can and everything.

For kids that are not that are not able to do this. Do you think that at foster homes there are cares that are going and saying, oh, let me go and register Johnny for a little league on Corey's website. You've got to be proactive, mate, You've got to go out. You've got to find these kids. That's going to make the difference. We're getting a bunch of kids the support system.

Okay, Simon, I get it. I hear what you're saying, and I'm saying.

That they're your career mate. All hype, no follow through.

Okay, don't that's okay.

Come on, he's actually he's hung up now because he's obviously not a little bit.

But okay, thirteen one oh six fives our number.

I mean, look, I take on board that there may be children that are falling through the cracks in this and that we should be aware of trying to help them.

I guess we have to go away and think about how to do that.

Let's check traffic and we'll come back in forty seconds. But if you want to get involved, if you've got some ideas, maybe you think Simon's right, or maybe you disagree. Thirteen one oh six fives our number.

Naomi of Maurumba downs. What would you like to say?

Oh? Well, paren can just shut up?

It is that ridiculous.

Oh kids, this is a great thing. There is so much negativity out in the world with everything. How about we're just giving back. You guys don't need to do this, but you have done it. This is more than what some people do. Community sport is out there to give kids an outlet. There is that in the community. So him coming on on his high horse thinking he can't have stuff, well, that's a him problem, not a new problem. You're enjoying a great job. And then to finish off by saying that you were all hype and no follow up. Excuse me, I don't think so. Cory.

Yeah, but that's just that's just rude. And I don't even want to go to the lowest coming.

And you do have the third highest triscorer for the Broncoast in all time.

That's not hype.

We don't need to rebut that, honestly, can I tell you, Correy, in the last two minutes, all three of my children have just blown up.

James out of Kabul. Your thoughts, James, bro.

Cory, you're doing a mad job. Brother. You've went out there and you're done. You know, You've put it out there for kids. And like I come from a broken family and abusivild man and I can't excuse me. I cannot bring up my old you know, my old life into this.

We had to, we had to. Unfortunately James got too excited passion for you. Thanks Cory, Yeah, drop a f bomb.

So just working out the old delay button there that works seven years, that.

For a while.

No thirty one tis our number.

If ever you want to get involved with the show, mind you piececus.

Like anyone can register, and that's what I want to put out there. Like if there's teachers or coaches or people that think that there is a kid that deserves a little bit of a go and that has skill that just doesn't get the opportunity, like, please register them. That's the whole point of it.

Yep, kiss ninety seven three dot com dot au. If you do have a kid, to register, or if you're kidding you want to register yourself.

The text line is going off four oh nine nine seven three ninety seven three. Oh my god, says Helen Louise. Get off your high horse, Simon. It's not Corey's fault you had a crap childhood anymore than it's his fault that I did leave him alone.

Greg at the Sunny Coast, What do you think.

Hey, guys. Yeah, well, first of all, love the little egue Cory.

That's great, mate.

Get the kids having fun and focus on that, and that's awesome. Step number one Simond's delivery. I think Simon struggle with his delivery. Obviously. I don't think anyone will disagree with that, But I think, don't throw the baby out with the bath water with his with his idea. But maybe that's like a future step for you, you know, step number one, get the kids out of fun first and do that. But there's definitely lots of parents out there who, as he said, don't care, don't even care to look whether there's a form or listen whether there's a form. So maybe that's the next step capturing those kids. Get this one off the ground first, Bloody.

Awesome, absolutely thank you. On our textign has said my suggestion is going to schools and ask if they know of any kids there is a community funding.

For kids to play sports. This is a beautiful gesture from Corey.

That is a good idea.

And as you said, though, Corey, if you are a teacher at a school or associated with the school and you know a kid that maybe they wouldn't normally be registered, you can help out.

Ben at Wakely, Hey, guys, how are you good? What would you like to say?

Totally one hundred and ten percent agree with Simon what a rude bloke that he is? How dare he come on say what Corey's doing is wrong and then have a dig at Corey how that Corey's felt that he had up a rough upbringing you know, Corey, I fully respect you mate, you are What you are doing for these kids is absolutely amazing. You've told them everyone can register, not just to you know, you should have to do any more than what you're doing, mate, what you're already doing is phenomenal. I have loved the Broncos since I could watch football. I'm thirty six years of age, mate, you know, and I love you as a bloke, Corey. You I came to a training session one day, mate, and you actually took my daughter, my three year old daughter, out of my hands and you had a photo with us and you held her. You are phenomenal, mate, and what you're doing I will. I absolutely have full respect for you, mate. And don't listen to that bloke. He's obviously got no idea what gets me and I'm not I'm not being he wasn't even Australian. Does he even know the game of records?

But don't. I mean, look, my compassionate side would say that clearly Simon has had a pretty crappy time of it. But you are aiming your gun at the wrong thing, yes, and it is not. We are doing the best we can with what we've got. We will always take on other people's opinions and if we can collect those children that are dropping through the system, then we absolutely will.

Yeah, if we can turn it into something good, that ridiculous call something good and good on your Bend for not dropping an f on there.

That was nearly the second dump we had to use it in the space of five minutes. Would have been a world record
