Country star Dustin Lynch joined Audacy hosts Rob + Holly backstage at this year's Stars & Strings 2022 concert at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL, to give fans an update on his "Party Mode" status leading into the winter months.

Perfectly set for the coming winter months with his latest single, "Wood On the Fire," Dustin says his favorite lyric from the new track has to be its opening line, "Girl I know the winter gets cold, and what you know is comfortable." He explains, "it's cuffing season right now," adding, "it's very appropriate. Everybody wants a snuggle bud in the cold months." Perhaps inappropriate in Holly's eyes, but Rob wondered if there was anyone special that he was cuddling up with worth mentioning. "I wish I did... no I don't man. I'm kinda lonely right now, going into November with nobody... dang!"

For those following Dustin, sympathy may not be easily given as fans know he has had quite an epic summer jumping out of helicopters and catching waves with friends like none other than rocker Machine Gun Kelly. "We decided this year it's 'Party Mode' time, so say 'yes' to all events, and a couple of those events have been epic," Dustin explains.

He and MGK became pals during that very same lake trip above, Dustin explains. "I went a couple years back; just a group of friends, and became mutual friends. I've loved just hanging and getting to connect because our worlds are so different, even though we both play music for a living most of the time, it's completely different. It's a different machine."

"At the same time, we're doing the same thing," he admits. "We're creating music and hoping people like it. It's just different types of music." As far as a collaboration between the two -- Dustin is wide open.

"The song has to be right, that would be the tough part," he says. "We've talked about getting into the studio and writing just for fun, just to see what would happen. Like, what would my influence bring, what would their influence bring? Could we make a Country song? Or I don't even know what you would call it... but I love the idea of going there and just exploring. If we don't get anything, we'll catch a buzz and have a great time."
