Luke Combs’ is “Gettin’ Old,” and it doesn’t bother him one bit.

The 33-year-old recently released his fourth studio album, Gettin’ Old, which welcomes fans into his new stage of life as a husband, father and musician, and it all comes less than a year since his project, Growin Up’. While aging might be a sensitive topic for many, Luke says he’s all about getting old.

“I figure, why run away from it?” Luke said when asked if he minded getting older. “There’s literally nothing you can do.”

He continued on to share he’s always seen himself as an “cranky” old soul.

“I sure am cranky, so I'm sure that’s got something to do with it,” Luke said. “I think anybody that knows me on any sort of level would tell you I’m cranky. Not angry, but I’m always cranky. Like an old curmudgeonly old Dad.”

While Luke admits he might be a little on the cranky side, he’s far from curmudgeonly when it comes to being a dad to his almost 1-year-old son, Tex.

“It’s awesome, really,” Luke said of being a father. “He [Tex] is such a good kid too. He doesn’t really cry very much ever and he’s just really happy all the time. Even when he’s teething, or sick, he’s always in a really great mood so I don’t know where he got that from.“

Sounds like Tex didn’t get the “cranky” Combs gene.
