Kane Brown and wife, Katelyn, had mega success with their duet, “Thank God” in 2022, and according to Kane the couple is ready to give the music charts another go with at least three more big songs that he says are already recorded.
“If you count, ‘Thank God,’ we have four songs together now,” Kane told Audacy’s Rob + Holly. “We don’t know exactly what we’re going to do with them, but every one that I listen to — it’s a smash.”
He continued, “We could work on an album, we could put the songs on this album. If we put all the songs on this album though, it’s going to be a big album.”
While Kane and Katelyn decide what route they want to take with their music, the couple is readying to welcome baby #3 to their family — their first son after having two daughters. “It was God’s plan,” Kane said of having three kids. “This one, I was like ’There’s no way it’s not a boy, it’s gotta be a boy!’ Turns out it’s a boy.”
In addition to welcoming a new family member, Kane is also hard at work on a fresh album, which fans got a taste of with his current single, “I Can Feel It.” Always a believer in pushing the envelope with his sound and challenging himself, Kane says this album is going to be “way different.”
“This album is going to be way different, that’s what I like about it,” the 30-year-old said of the forthcoming project. “Any song that I have on the album is going to sound completely different than anything on the radio right now. I’m really pumped for it.”
He then shared he’s unsure if his next single “qualifies” for Country radio, but hopes it will be welcomed. “Hopefully, my next single — I don’t now if they’re going to allow me to bring this next single or not, but they should — it’s called ‘Fiddle in the Band,’” Kane said, acknowledging the title’s relation to Alabama’s “If You Want to Play in Texas.”
“It’s almost like, ‘If You want to play in Texas, you gotta have a fiddle in the band,’ but it sounds nothing like that, sings nothing like that, lyrics nothing like that, but it’s my version.”
