Carrie Underwood admits she lost all cool ahead of her performance with Guns N’ Roses at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Can you blame her?

During a conversation with Audacy’s Rob + Holly, Underwood shared that she had starstruck written all over her face during rehearsals, which prompted GNR bassist Duff McKagan, to check in on her.

“When we were there for rehearsals, Duff walked by and he was like, ’are you OK?’ And I was like, ‘I’ll be good!’” she laughed. “He was like, ‘Your eyes are like, this big,’ I was like, ‘I’ll be good, I’ll be good, I’ll be cool!’”

The experience was the second time Underwood sang alongside lead singer, Axl Rose, but the first time in front of a Rock crowd. Just months before, Carrie dropped jaws as she welcomed Rose to the stage while headlining at Stagecoach.

The GNR performances are just one small part of Carrie’s already-successful year, which also includes three recent nominations in some of the biggest categories at this year’s CMA Awards. Underwood received noms in categories including Entertainer of the YearFemale Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year for her duet with Jason Aldean, “If I Didn’t Love You.”

Also adding to her big year is her 43-stop Denim & Rhinestones Tour, which recently kicked off in Greenville, South Carolina and will continue through March 2023.
