The Cincinnati Reds scored seven runs in the ninth inning on Wednesday to salvage a win in their series against the San Francisco Giants, avoiding becoming the first team this season to be swept by San Francisco.

Trailing 9-3 going into the ninth, the Reds got a leadoff homer by Héctor Rodríguez before loading the bases for Eugenio Suárez, who hit a grand slam to pull the Reds to within a run before back-to-back bunt hits put the go-ahead run in scoring position, which was ultimately driven in by Tyler Stephenson.

Emilio Pagán earned the save in the ninth, marking the Reds' biggest ninth-inning comeback since May 8, 1958.
