He found himself seated just behind Roger Federer and Rod Laver while watching Aryna Sabalenka, fully convinced his main character moment had arrived. Joel then attempted to get Yelena Dokic’s attention from the stands, despite wearing sunnies, a beard and a very ambitious AO fedora. The cruel twist was Sabalenka’s post match selfie, where Joel was tragically cropped out and reduced to a rogue hat and phone lurking behind a Love Island head.
