A tense political moment set the tone as Donald Trump sparked backlash after publicly insulting journalist Akayla Gardner when she questioned the ballooning cost of his White House ballroom project, which reports say has doubled from its original estimate. The exchange quickly went viral, reigniting criticism over Trump’s repeated attacks on journalists—particularly Black women—while raising new scrutiny over the use of public funds for the renovation.

On the entertainment side, the show broke down reports that Jamie Foxx is expecting another child with his girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp, a development confirmed by multiple outlets and marking a major personal milestone following Foxx’s highly publicized health scare. Meanwhile, dating rumors are swirling again around Mariah Carey and Anderson .Paak after the pair were spotted holding hands on a movie date in Los Angeles, fueling speculation that their on‑again chemistry may be more than just collaborative. The episode also featured comedian Sheryl Underwood, who joined the RSMS crew fresh off her widely praised appearance at Netflix’s Roast of Kevin Hart, where she delivered one of the night’s standout sets and addressed the fine line between roast humor, grief, and resilience.
