Following the global outbreak of Covid-19, it became clear that this crisis would not only temporarily slow down the economy and upend our daily routine, it would also reshuffle our culture entirely, leading to dramatic shifts in consumer behaviour. This poses a number of questions such as, ‘What will the recovery look like?’ and ‘How can brands navigate new customer demands and reach audiences in new ways?’ This podcast will discover how companies can rethink and adapt their strategies to re-engage customers, meet the new demand, stay innovative and gain a competitive advantage.

Fflur Roberts manages the research programme for the global luxury goods industry at Euromonitor International. In her current position, Fflur has direct responsibility for the content and quality of Euromonitor’s luxury goods research, which provides strategic analysis of the global market and in-depth coverage of the industry in 32 countries worldwide.

Madeleine Macey CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER AND ACTING CREATIVE DIRECTOR, LIBERTY

Madeleine Macey is Chief Marketing Officer and Acting Creative Director for leading London department store and design brand, Liberty. Following a 15 year career in luxury communications, Madeleine has seen all sides of the industry. Starting as a model, she went on to direct international runway shows and quickly became known in her field by running communications strategy and image for up-and-coming British brands such as Temperley, to running global communications for household names like Jimmy Choo. Madeleine currently oversees all branding, press and customer marketing channels for Liberty. This year, Madeleine launched the CSR initiative ‘Liberty, for Life’, and orchestrated the re-launch and roll out of a new Liberty logo mid-lockdown.

Arnaud Champenois SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING AND BRAND, BELMOND

Arnaud has over 20-years of experience in leading brands, marketing and communication in the luxury goods and services sector. He joins Belmond from Starwood Hotels and Resorts where he has held the position of Vice President, Brand Director for Asia Pacific since 2011. Prior to that, Mr. Champenois was Regional ASEAN Brand Director for various brands such as Biotherm, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani and Yves Saint Laurent at L’Oreal Luxury Products Division. Before moving to Singapore in 2009, he was Marketing Director for L’Oreal Travel Retail for Europe, Middle East and Africa, based in Paris.

Nigel Cassidy is a highly experienced BBC and independent broadcaster, podcaster and journalist - strongly versed in helping business people tell their stories. He is a frequent anchor of global BBC output - notably World Business Report and Business Matters. He also hosts the respected and long-running monthly CIPD podcast about the workplace.
