For nearly 50 years, Child Crisis Arizona has not only been there to support the community’s most vulnerable children experiencing abuse or neglect, but also to help strengthen families, build resiliency and prevent crisis situations.

Torrie Taj leads the organization with a passion to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect, both by providing children and youth a safe environment, and creating strong and successful families.

Child Crisis Arizona programs are designed to provide a continuum of support. They include:

  • Emergency Children’s Shelters for kids ages 2 through 10.
  •  A group home providing wraparound care for teenage boys in the foster care system
  •  A refugee resettlement program.
  • Foster care and adoption programs.
  • Early education services
  • Counseling
  • Resource Distribution Center, Diaper Bank, and Kids’ Closets
  • Safe Kids and drowning prevention programs
  • Whispering Hope Ranch for youth, teens and adults with disabilities.
