View descriptionShare

There are fascinating doctrinal ideas in the Latter-day Saint Hymnal. For example "Oh What Songs of the Heart" (No. 286) and "O My Father" (No. 292) reference heavenly parents, a Mother in Heaven.  Another hymn, "If you Could Hie to Kolob" (No. 284) asks the question whether you could find the beginning when Gods became to be, if you could go back in time far enough, expressing the idea of eternal progression, to early Latter-day Saints, included deity.
