Author Barbara Miller is married to Norman, an Aboriginal Australian, and says that when they married, her mother refused to come to the wedding.  She says that even though her husband was very hurt by this, he eventually made it his goal to bring reconciliation to the relationship.  
Barbara shares how reconciliation has become a major theme in their lives.
