Texas State Board of Education votes this week on high school social studies standards. Amendments from the last meeting would require students to learn the conquest of Christian and Jewish lands through jihad, Mohammed’s military campaigns, and the taking of female captives.

Islamic advocacy groups, including CAIR (called out as CARE in the clip), flooded the hearing after Texas designated CAIR a terrorist organization and after K–8 standards already tied early Islam more tightly to violence. Final high school votes are expected this week.
